I don't know if this would fit into the Sport and Rec category or Activities, so how about if I just throw it here for kicks.
I have seen it before and heard about it, but today was the first day that I played disc golf. They even have special disc that you use.
What you have are 3 disc. One is a driver for the longer shots. Another for mid range shots, and then a putter disc. Just like golf, you want to make it into the hole. Rather than a hole though, you have a basket with chains that you throw it into.
I played up at COCC back behind the soccer field and library. Evidently there is also a disc golf course out in Sisters and I will be heading out there next week to play.
Highly recommended not just for the fun side of it, but also the exercise, socializing, and mathematical release at just the right moment.

When I was in college, we played it all the time. This was prior to official courses being established. We just took a few beers and some frisbees to the park. Then took turns deciding on the the next hole. It would be something like; "set it on the picnic table at the North end of the horse shoe pits."
